Creating Data Exporters

Learn how to set up automated data exports from various apps to Google Sheets with DataFlowed.

Getting Started

The Data Export Builder allows you to create automated exports from your connected data sources to Google Sheets. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up a new exporter.

Step 1: Access the Export Builder

Navigate to the Data Export Builder from your dashboard. You'll see a list of your existing exporters and a button to create a new one.

Step 2: Create a New Export

Click the "New Export" button to open the creation modal. You'll need to provide the following information:

  • Export Name: A descriptive name for your export
  • Data Source: Select from your connected accounts (Google Search Console, Analytics, Ads, Shopify, Stripe, or Meta)
  • Google Sheet: Choose the destination Google Sheet for your data
  • Schedule Type: Set how frequently the export should run

Step 3: Configure Schedule Settings

Choose how frequently your export should run by selecting a schedule type:

  • One Time Only: Run the export once at a specific date and time
  • Hourly, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly: Run the export on a recurring schedule
  • Never: Only run the export when manually triggered

Additional schedule options will appear based on your selection. For detailed information on scheduling options, see our Setting Export Schedules guide.

Step 4: Complete Setup

After configuring the basic settings, click "Continue" to proceed to the specific configuration page for your selected data source. Each data source has unique options for customizing what data is exported.

Managing Your Exports

Once created, you can manage your exports from the main Export Builder page:

  • View Details: Click the "View" button to see and edit export settings
  • Check Status: The badge indicates whether an export is active or inactive
  • View Logs: Switch to the "Run Logs" tab to see the history and status of export runs

Export Limits

The number of exporters you can create depends on your subscription plan. If you've reached your limit, you'll need to upgrade your plan to create additional exporters.

Note

When you reach your exporter limit, the "New Export" button will be replaced with an "Upgrade" button.
